Montmorency Sour cherry

ORIGIN: France

TREE: U.S. Pat. and the most cultivated cherry variety in Europe. In the first years trees grow vertically, then splayed, branched quite often. There are four different types and the short-handled type is widely cultivated.

FRUIT: Fruit rounded stalk and slightly flattened by the tip, the abdomen is large, stalk pit deep, fruit peel light red, dark red spotted. Fruit flesh is soft, yellowish red color, juicy, tart and high quality. Fruit grain weight is 3-3.5 gr. Trees are very efficient and do not make any fruit cracking.

HARVESTING TIME: Between 7 June and 17 June.

POWDERERS: Self-productive variety.
