PIPE FINDER PREPARATION: Burgundy Slurry; It is obtained by mixing bluestone, lime and water with each other. If it is desired to prepare a 1% burgundy slurry, first, 1 kg in a 50 liter wooden barrel. bluestone is melted in another 100 liter wooden barrel 500 gr. quicklime is slowly melted by melting and it is completed to 50 liters by adding water. The previously prepared 50 liter Gooseberry solution is slowly poured into lime water and mixed continuously. Lime water is never poured over the Bluestone solution. Litmus paper or phenolphthalein paper is dipped into the slurry to see if the slurry is of good quality. If red litmus is blue and phenolphthalein is red, slurry is good. Otherwise some more lime water should be added to the slurry.
